I know it's a scam. But I'm curious to find out how they are getting my email. They claim they found it on a dating site and want to get to know me more because my profile is interesting. But I don't have a profile on ANY dating site. Yet the emails from all these women keep coming but sound extremely similar. How do they keep getting my email?
Bob's Answer:
Have you EVER had a profile on any dating site? If so, that's a good possibility. If not, does your email address appear publicly on any social media? If so, that's another possibility. But no matter, unfortunately, just as with any spammer, once you're in their databases there's no known way to have yourself removed, and usually trying to have yourself removed results in MORE spam.
