How fast is the process of a Russian woman without a visa to obtain one

My girlfriend has never had a Visa and is in the process of obtaining one. Is this is a difficult process and how long will it take?

A fiancee visa takes 6-10 months or so from start to finish, but I suspect that's not what you're talking about. According to the moscow.usembassy.gov website it takes a few weeks. I would expect similar times for other former Soviet countries.

I hope this is a "real" girlfriend. Because it is standard operating procedure for scammers to claim they can get a visa to come visit you.
